Crinum thaianum Tropica

Planted the bulb a few weeks ago and it’s already sending up a new leaf that’s over 30 cm long. The roots are anchoring nicely in the gravel, and it hasn’t melted or rotted at all like some bulbs do.

The leaves have already reached the water surface in just two weeks, even though my tank has decent lighting. I'm really impressed by how fast this bulb grows compared to other slow growers I've tried.

Planted the bulb in the back corner and within a week it was already pushing out new leaves that easily reach the water surface. The 60-200 cm length is no joke, so make sure you have a tall tank or be ready to trim often. It's thriving with zero fuss in my low-tech setup.
