JBL Mount ASO Soil Black

I was worried I’d need a separate base layer, but this soil really works alone—it clumps just right for planting and stays put. My plants rooted noticeably faster than with my old gravel mix.

The soil is a complete bottom layer on its own, so I didn't need to mix in anything else when setting up my new tank. It settled nicely and the water cleared up faster than I expected. My plants are rooting well in it already.

The grains are a consistent size, which made leveling the substrate easy during setup. My plants seem to be rooting well after a week, though I noticed a bit more dust than expected when first adding water.
