Pogostemon helferi PC Aquafleur

Opened the pot and the plant was already throwing out little side shoots near the base, which is exactly what I hoped for a carpet. The leaves have that nice light green tone that really pops against the substrate, and compact growth means it fits perfectly in the front corner.

This little pot is already sending out runners just a few days after being placed in my tank. The compact leaves have a really distinct, crinkly texture that stands out beautifully against my other greenery.

The 5 cm pot arrived with healthy roots, and the compact growth is exactly what I hoped for as a foreground plant. It’s spreading slowly though, so don’t expect a fast carpet unless you’ve got strong light and CO2 dialed in.
