Anubias barteri var. caladiifolia originates from an Australian tissue propagation laboratory. It is a very beautiful variety with heart-shaped leaves. The leaves live for several years, so Anubias barteri var. caladiifolia can easily form large groups despite its slow growth. A group of Anubias barteri var. caladiifolia growing more than 50 cm wide in a few years is not unusual.

For a long time, there has a myth been going around that anubias (when pruned or cut) would be poisonous to shrimp and other inverts. This is NOT true, and anubias are perfect plants for your shrimp tank and 100% safe.

Michael C. ★★★★★

The leaves are so thick and sturdy they actually feel like they could survive anything, which is exactly what I was hoping for in a low-maintenance tank. It arrived with a solid root system, and the heart shape is genuinely as pretty as the pictures show. I’ve had mine for three weeks with zero melt

Aurora H. ★★★★★

The heart-shaped leaves are even more striking in person, and since they can live for years, I’m not stressing about replanting. Tissue-cultured arrival meant zero snails or melt, so it’s been thriving right on the driftwood from day one.

Adam M. ★★★★★

I've had these in my low-tech tank for six weeks now and the leaves are already noticeably larger than when they arrived. The tissue culture meant zero algae or snails, which was a relief. They're thriving attached to a piece of driftwood.
