Betta Choice - Botanicals - Teak Leaves

Teak is a very durable type of hardwood from southeastern Asia. Their leaves have the same effect as catappa leaves but without the brown discolouration of the water. They slightly lower the pH, an excellent food source for shrimp and contain disease inhibitors and tannins that are slowly released into the water. It also takes a long time for teak leaves to decay in the water.

I was worried the leaves would make a mess like almond leaves do, but these teak leaves hold their shape perfectly. My betta’s been investigating them nonstop, and the water stays crystal clear.

Avery B. ★★★★★

My betta finally started building a bubble nest after I added these leaves—he loves hiding under them. They don't cloud the water at all, just clear and natural-looking.
