Seachem MultiTest Iron Test Kit

Iron is of no importance in fish only aquaria; however, iron over 0.5 mg/L may be toxic to some species and should be avoided. Under normal conditions, iron is virtually impossible to maintain at measurable concentrations in seawater. Natural seawater concentration for iron is about 0.01 mg/L. Iron is important in planted aquaria and should be maintained between 0.1 to 0.2 mg/L.

MultiTest Iron measures both ionic and most chelated iron in freshwater or marine water to less than 0.05 mg/L. It performs over 75 tests and contains a reference sample for validation.

  • Measures iron to less than 0.05 mg/L
  • Multi-cavity plate for simultaneous testing of up to 6 tests at the same time
  • Includes reference for test validation
  • Marine or Freshwater

Julian ★★★★★

The test kit's color chart is much clearer than others I've used, making it easy to tell if my iron levels are safe for my fish. It only takes a few minutes to get a reading, and I finally have peace of mind about my water quality.

Ruby ★★★★★

My plants were yellowing and I couldn't figure out why—this kit made it obvious my iron was way low. The color chart is easy to read under normal light, and the test took less than five minutes.

Emma ★★★★★

I've been testing my planted tank water weekly, and this kit gives clear, easy-to-read color changes even at trace levels. The five-step process takes about five minutes and confirms whether my iron is too high for my shrimp.
