The open, airy structure of this substrate makes it so much easier to plant delicate stems compared to dense gravel I've used before. My fish seem to love sifting through the natural particles, and the reddish hue really brings out their color.

The light, open texture of this substrate made planting so much easier than with gravel—my roots spread out nicely. It settled quickly with just a quick rinse before adding water.
