The water in my tank has that soft, amber tint now, just like the blackwater biotopes I was aiming for. These cones sink quickly and release the humic substances gradually, and my tetras have been noticeably calmer since I added them.

I’ve been using these alder cones for about two weeks now, and the water in my betta tank has taken on that lovely amber tint with stable parameters. The tannins really bring out the natural colors of my fish without making the water cloudy.

Dropped a few of these into my tank and the water turned that perfect tea color within a day—my betta is already more active. The cones are small but potent, and they don't crumble or cloud the water like some cheaper alternatives I've tried.
