I was worried the fine grain might cloud the water, but it settled clear in just a few hours and my plants are staying firmly rooted now. The 0.2-0.6 mm range is perfect for both my corydoras and the stem plants.

The grain size is exactly right for my carpet plants to root deeply without floating up. After a week of settling, the water cleared up nicely and my corydoras love sifting through it.

Finally, a substrate fine enough that my carpet plants actually hold their roots without floating up every time I poke at the tank. The 0.2-0.6 mm grain is so soft and even that even my corydoras sift through it happily, and it's been perfect in both my freshwater and saltwater setups.
