Aquafleur Alternanthera rosaefolia

This plant adds real contrast to your aquarium thanks to its deep red colou- red leaves. Preferably planted in groups, rosaefolia has a good growth rate, with it’s lance shaped leaves. Like all Alternanthera, it needs strong lighting for optimum colour and an iron rich fertiliser.

I'm not a plant expert, so I was worried about keeping it alive, but this little pot has been growing steadily for three weeks now. The leaves are a vibrant burgundy that stands out beautifully against my green plants.

The deep red color really pops against my green plants, adding that contrast I was hoping for. I planted a few stems together and they seem to be settling in well after a week. Only minor thing is a couple of leaves melted initially, but that’s pretty normal for new aquarium plants.
