Riccia fluitans - Aquafleur Easy Grow

Aquarium plant from tissue culture in closed cup. Guaranteed algae, pesticide and snail free!

Japanese Takashi Amano has inspired many aquarium owners to keep the 1-5 cm tall cosmopolitic moss, Riccia fluitans, submerged. It can be kept down by tying it to a stone with a piece of fishing line, but new shoots always grow towards the surface, so it may be necessary to prune it with scissors. Riccia fluitans thrives best with added CO2 and in good growing conditions small oxygen bubbles form on the leaf tips. As a traditional, floating plant offers good protection for young fish.

Henry ★★★★★

The closed cup was packed with lush, healthy growth and I didn’t spot a single snail or pest when I opened it, which is a huge relief for a planted tank. It’s already showing new bright green tips after just a few days, so the tissue culture really is as clean and vigorous as promised.

Brian H. ★★★★★

The tissue culture arrived surprisingly fresh and vibrant, with no sign of melting like some other plants I've tried. I snipped a small clump between two mesh pieces and it's already carpeting my driftwood after just a week. Definitely fills in gaps nicely without introducing unwanted snails.

Natalie ★★★★★

These tissue culture cups are absolutely snail-free, which is a huge relief after dealing with pest snails from other plants. I peeled back the gel and the riccia fluitans spread beautifully across my driftwood in just a week.
