Category: Aquarium Plants

A comparatively fast-growing Echinodorus from Mexico, suitable for large aquariums reaching 20-50 cm long leaves and a 15-30 cm wide roset. Unlike other round-leafed varieties of the species, Echinodorus cordifolius ssp. fluitans is less likely to grow up over the water surface. If it grows large enough, it forms large leaves just under the surface instead.

Kevin ★★★★★

The rosette filled out much faster than I anticipated, and those long, 20-50 cm leaves give my big tank that lush, jungle feel I was after. It’s genuinely a sturdy plant that anchors well once it settles in, though you do need the space for it to spread those 15-30 cm of leaves without shading every

Lily ★★★★★

The leaves are already pushing past 20 cm in my 180-gallon, and the rosette fills the midground much faster than I expected from an Echinodorus. It's a bold, broad-leafed presence that anchors the scape without any fuss.

Elizabeth ★★★★★

The rosette spread out nicely in my 80-gallon tank, and the leaves already hit about 25 cm in just a couple weeks. The fast growth really helped fill a bare spot behind my driftwood.
