Aquafleur Lilaeopsis mauritiana

This Lilaeopsis species demands less light than Lilaeopsis brasiliensis and stays low (5-10 cm “lawn”). Tropica's founder, Holger Windeløv, found it on Mauritius in 1992. The plants height and distance between its leaves depend on the light intensity. The more light it gets, the lower the plant and the denser the leaves. The runners spread round the aquarium. To be planted like Lilaeopsis brasiliensis.

Chloe ★★★★★

It needed lower light than my other carpeting plant and stayed a nice compact 5 cm lawn even in a low-tech tank.

Nicholas R. ★★★★★

This little plant spread into a tight, low carpet faster than I expected given it only gets moderate light in my tank. The blades are a nice bright green and stay under 5 cm so far.

Charlotte G. ★★★★★

I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly this plant spread into a thick, low carpet. It stays exactly around 5 cm tall as described, and even with my standard tank lights it’s thriving without any extra CO2.
